Privacy Policy Overview

Glam Pod, Inc. ("Glam Pod," "we," "us," or "our") operates this store and website, which offers physical products and technology-powered beauty services (such as products designed, generated, or printed using AI, AR, and 3D printing technology, and robotic technology-powered beauty services). We also run in-person events, beta tests of our products, customer surveys, and promotional drawings. All of these offerings, including the website, our app, our events, and our surveys, are referred to as our "Services." This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose your personal information when you visit, use, or make a purchase or other transaction using our Services, or otherwise communicate with us.

If there is a conflict between our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy, this Privacy Policy controls with respect to the collection, processing, and disclosure of your personal information. If you sign a separate agreement with us for a specific activity, such as a beta test agreement or an event participant agreement and release, that agreement controls for the information collected in that activity.

Washington, Nevada, and Connecticut residents: please also see our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy at https://glampodbeauty.com/pages/consumer-health-data-privacy-policy, which describes how we handle consumer health data.

Personal Information We Collect or Process

When we use the term "personal information," we mean information that identifies or can reasonably be linked to you or another person. Personal information does not include information that is collected anonymously or that has been de-identified so that it cannot identify or be reasonably linked to you. Depending on how you interact with the Services, where you live, and as permitted or required by law, we may collect or process the following categories of personal information, including inferences drawn from them:

  • Contact details, including your name, address, billing address, shipping address, phone number, and email address.
  • Financial information, including payment card information, transaction details, form of payment, and payment confirmation. Payments are processed by Shopify and its payment partners.
  • Account information, including your username, password, security questions, preferences, and settings.
  • Transaction information, including the items you view, add to your cart or wishlist, purchase, return, exchange, or cancel, and your past transactions.
  • Communications with us, including the information you include when you contact customer support.
  • Device information, including information about your device, browser, or network connection, your IP address, and other unique identifiers.
  • Usage information, including how and when you interact with the Services.
  • Biometric Data. When you use our face-scanning, AR, or AI-powered features (for example, facial mapping, virtual try-on, or our beta device), we collect scans and images of your face and create measurements or maps of your facial geometry, skin tone, and features. We collect Biometric Data only with your consent. See "Biometric Data" below.
  • Event recordings. If you take part in a Glam Pod event, we may collect photos, video, and audio of you, along with your name, statements, and answers to questions, as described in the participant agreement and release you sign.
  • Beta test feedback, including your answers, ratings, and comments about products you test, and any skin sensitivities, allergies, or conditions you tell us about before testing.
  • Drawing and promotion entries, including your name, email address, phone number, city and state, and confirmation that you are eligible.
  • User-generated content, including photos, videos, reviews, or other content you upload or create using our Services.
  • Inferred data. We may draw inferences from your personal information about your preferences and characteristics, such as your preferred makeup styles or the products you might like.

We do not collect personal information through our customer surveys. Survey responses are collected anonymously. See "Surveys and De-identified Data" below.

Personal Information Sources

We may collect personal information from the following sources:

  • Directly from you, including when you create an account, visit or use the Services, take part in an event or beta test, enter a drawing, communicate with us, or otherwise provide personal information to us.
  • Automatically through the Services, including from your device when you use our products or websites, and through cookies and similar technologies.
  • From our service providers, when they collect or process personal information on our behalf.
  • From our partners or other third parties, such as social media platforms when you interact with our accounts.

How We Use Your Personal Information

Depending on how you interact with us and which Services you use, we may use personal information for the following purposes:

Provide, tailor, and improve the Services. We use your personal information to provide the Services, including to perform our contract with you, process payments, fulfill orders, remember your preferences, send account notifications, process returns and exchanges, manage your account, arrange shipping, enable you to post reviews, recommend products, and improve the Services.

Operate and improve our AI, AR, and robotic systems. We use visual and usage data to power our AI, AR, and robotic features, such as facial mapping, virtual try-on, and makeup application. Our AI uses your face map to personalize the Services for you, including to create your customized masks and makeup inserts. That personalization is part of the service you request. We may use de-identified and aggregated data to improve our systems. We use your Biometric Data to improve our systems for other customers only if you give separate, optional consent to that use.

Run events, beta tests, surveys, and drawings. We use personal information to run our events and beta tests, administer drawings, contact entrants and winners, and conduct product research.

Create content about our events and products. We use event recordings and statements only as described in the participant agreement and release you sign.

Marketing and advertising. We use contact, transaction, and usage information to send marketing communications by email, text message, or postal mail, and to show you online advertisements. We send marketing texts only with your consent. We never use Biometric Data, consumer health data, or survey responses for marketing or advertising.

Security and fraud prevention. We use personal information to authenticate your account, provide a secure payment and shopping experience, detect and investigate fraudulent, illegal, or malicious activity, protect public safety, and secure our Services. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials safe.

Communicating with you. We use personal information to provide customer support, respond to you, and maintain our relationship with you.

Legal reasons. We use personal information to comply with law or respond to valid legal process, to investigate or take part in litigation or other legal proceedings, and to enforce our terms and policies.

Biometric Data

This section is our written policy on the collection, retention, and destruction of Biometric Data, and it applies wherever you live.

What we collect. Scans and images of your face, and measurements and maps of your facial geometry, skin tone, texture, and features, created by our devices, app, or AR tools ("Biometric Data").

Why we collect it. To map your face, create your customized masks and makeup inserts, generate and preview makeup looks, apply makeup, and evaluate how our products perform. For Biometric Data collected during beta tests and street interviews, we also use it to develop and improve our products, including our hardware.

Consent. We collect Biometric Data only after giving you notice and receiving your written or electronic consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing info@glampodbeauty.com.

No sale. We do not sell, lease, trade, or otherwise profit from Biometric Data.

Disclosure. We do not disclose Biometric Data except to service providers that process it on our behalf under written confidentiality and security obligations, to complete a transaction you request, with your consent, or when required by law.

Retention and destruction. We permanently destroy Biometric Data when the purpose for collecting it has been satisfied, and no later than one year after it is collected at an event or beta test, or one year after your last interaction with us for Biometric Data collected through our app or website. If you consented to our use of your Biometric Data to improve our systems for other customers, we keep the data used for that purpose for no longer than one year. In no case do we keep Biometric Data longer than one year after the purpose for collecting it ends, or three years after your last interaction with us, whichever is earlier. Destruction means permanent deletion from our devices and systems, including backups, and from the systems of service providers that hold it for us.

Security. We store, transmit, and protect Biometric Data using reasonable care, at least as protective as the way we protect our other confidential and sensitive information.

Ordinary photos and video taken at our events are not Biometric Data under this policy unless we use them to create a face map or identifier. We do not use event photos or video for facial recognition.

Consumer Health Data

Some laws, including those in Washington, Nevada, and Connecticut, protect "consumer health data." Biometric Data, skin analysis results from our AI or AR tools, and information you give us about skin sensitivities or allergies may be consumer health data under those laws. We collect and share consumer health data only with your consent or as necessary to provide a product or service you request. Our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy, available at https://glampodbeauty.com/pages/consumer-health-data-privacy-policy,, describes the categories of consumer health data we collect, how we use and share it, and how to exercise your rights.

Surveys and De-identified Data

Our customer surveys are open only to US residents 18 and older. They do not ask for your name, email address, or other identifying information, and we do not link survey responses to drawing entries or other personal information. If a survey is connected to a drawing, the drawing entry form is separate from the survey.

When we maintain de-identified or anonymous information, including survey responses, we keep it in de-identified form, we do not attempt to re-identify it, and we contractually require anyone we share it with not to re-identify it. We may use and share de-identified information for any lawful purpose, including product research, and we may quote short survey answers without identifying the person who gave them.

How We Disclose Personal Information

We may disclose personal information to third parties for legitimate purposes subject to this Privacy Policy, including:

  • With Shopify, Google, and other vendors and service providers that perform services on our behalf, such as IT and website hosting, payment processing, data analytics, customer support, cloud storage, survey and form tools, email and text messaging platforms, video editing, gift card fulfillment, and shipping.
  • With AI and AR technology partners that process data on our behalf to provide features such as facial mapping or virtual try-on. These partners must protect the information and use it only to provide services to us.
  • With business and marketing partners to provide marketing services and advertise to you. For example, we use Shopify to support personalized advertising with third-party services based on your online activity. We do not share Biometric Data, consumer health data, or survey responses with marketing or advertising partners. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to opt out of this sharing, as described below.
  • When you direct or ask us to, or consent to our disclosure, such as when you use social media widgets or login integrations.
  • In content we publish from our events, as permitted by the participant agreement and release you sign.
  • With our affiliates or within our corporate group.
  • In connection with a business transaction such as a merger, financing, or bankruptcy; to comply with legal obligations, including subpoenas, warrants, and similar requests; to enforce our terms and policies; and to protect the Services, our rights, and the rights of our users or others.

Relationship with Shopify

The Services are hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes personal information about your access to and use of the Services to provide and improve them. Information you submit through the Services will be transmitted to and shared with Shopify and third parties that may be located outside the state or country where you live. To help protect, grow, and improve our business, we use certain Shopify enhanced features that incorporate information from your interactions with our store, other merchants, and Shopify. For those features, Shopify is responsible for processing your personal information, including responding to requests to exercise your rights. To learn more, see the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy at https://privacy.shopify.com/en.

Sales, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising

We do not sell personal information for money. Some state laws treat our use of Shopify's personalized advertising features as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, or as "targeted advertising." Depending on where you live, you can opt out of these uses here: https://glampodbeauty.com/pages/data-sharing-opt-out We do not sell or share Biometric Data, consumer health data, or other sensitive personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.

If you visit our website with the Global Privacy Control signal enabled, we will treat it as a request to opt out for that browser and device, and, if we can associate the signal with a Shopify account, for that account as well. To learn more, visit https://globalprivacycontrol.org. We do not respond to other "Do Not Track" signals.

Third Party Websites and Links

The Services may link to websites or platforms operated by third parties, including social media platforms. We are not responsible for the privacy or security practices of those sites, and we encourage you to review their policies. Information you share on public or semi-public platforms may be viewable by others.

Children's Data

The Services are not intended for anyone under 18, and our events, beta tests, surveys, and drawings are open only to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.

Security and Retention of Your Information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No security measures are perfect, and information you send to us may not be secure in transit. Please do not use unsecure channels to send us sensitive or confidential information.

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to maintain your account, provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Specifically:

  • Biometric Data is kept only as described in "Biometric Data" above.
  • Drawing entry information is kept until 6 months after the drawing, unless you opt in to marketing or longer retention is required by law.
  • Event recordings are kept for as long as we use them as permitted by the participant agreement and release.
  • De-identified survey responses may be kept indefinitely.

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights. These rights are not absolute, and we may decline a request as permitted by law.

  • Right to access or know. You may request access to the personal information we hold about you.
  • Right to delete. You may request that we delete personal information we hold about you. We will always delete your Biometric Data on request. Data that has been de-identified or aggregated so that it can no longer be linked to you cannot be identified as yours, so it is not affected by a deletion request.
  • Right to correct. You may request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Right of portability. You may request a copy of your personal information in a portable format.
  • Right to opt out. You may opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and of targeted advertising, using the link above.
  • Right to withdraw consent. You may withdraw any consent you have given us, including consent to collect Biometric Data or to use it to improve our systems for other customers. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that happened before you withdrew it.
  • Managing communications. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in the email, and from marketing texts by replying STOP. We may still send you non-promotional messages, such as order updates.

To exercise these rights, email us at info@glampodbeauty.com. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, and we may require proof of authorization and verification of your identity. We will respond within the time required by law, generally 45 days. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. To learn about rights related to data processed by Shopify, visit https://privacy.shopify.com/en.

Complaints and Appeals

If you have a complaint about how we handle your personal information, please contact us. If we decline your request, you may appeal by emailing info@glampodbeauty.com with the subject line "Privacy Appeal." We will respond to your appeal within the time required by law. We process your personal information to perform our contract with you (for example, to fulfill orders and provide the Services), for our legitimate interests (for example, to secure and improve the Services and to market our products, where those interests are not overridden by your rights), to comply with legal obligations, and with your consent (for example, for marketing where consent is required). We process Biometric Data and other special category data only with your explicit consent.

Your rights. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for legal or regulatory reasons. Glam Pod Customer Discovery Survey

We’re conducting research on how people apply makeup, what they find difficult or frustrating, and the products or services they use today. This survey should take approximately 7–10 minutes. There are no right or wrong answers. We’re interested in your experience. This survey is open to US residents 18 and older. Your answers are anonymous: we don’t ask for your name or email in the survey itself. We’ll use your answers for product research, and we may quote short answers without identifying you.

Gift card drawing. As a thank-you, everyone who completes this survey and the short drawing entry form linked at the end will be entered once in a drawing for a $50 Sephora gift card, governed by the Official Rules below. The entry form is kept separate from the survey so your answers stay anonymous. No purchase is necessary, and you can also enter for free without taking the survey, as described in the Official Rules. Each entry has an equal chance of winning, and being entered does not guarantee you will win.

Glam Pod Gift Card Drawing: Official Rules

2. Eligibility. Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and D.C. who are 18 or older (or the age of majority in their state, if older) at the time of entry. 5. Prize. One winner will receive one Sephora gift card with an approximate retail value of $50. Total approximate value of all prizes: $50. Gift cards are subject to the issuer's terms and conditions. No cash or substitution, except that Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Sephora is not a sponsor of, and is not affiliated with, this drawing.

6. Drawing and odds. Sponsor will select the winner in a random drawing from all eligible entries on or about November 22, 2026. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

7. Winner notification. The winner will be notified by email or phone within 7 days after the drawing and must respond within 7 days. If the winner cannot be reached, does not respond in time, or is ineligible, the prize will be forfeited and Sponsor may select an alternate winner.

8. Taxes and conditions. The winner is responsible for any taxes on the prize. By entering, entrants agree to these Official Rules and Sponsor's decisions, which are final. Sponsor may cancel, suspend, or modify the drawing if fraud, technical failure, or anything else beyond its control affects its integrity.

9. Release. Entrants release Sponsor and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any liability arising from their entry in the drawing or the receipt or use of a prize, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

10. Social media. This drawing is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Instagram, TikTok, Meta, Google, or any other social media or online platform. Entrants release each platform from any liability related to this drawing.

11. Privacy. Information collected for the drawing will be used as described in Sponsor's Privacy Policy at https://glampodbeauty.com/policies/privacy-policy. Survey answers are collected separately from drawing entry information and are not linked to any entrant’s name or contact information. Entrants will be contacted only about the drawing unless they separately opt in to marketing.

12. Governing law. These Official Rules are governed by the laws of the State of New York.

13. Winner list. For the name of the winner, send an email to info@glampodbeauty.com with the subject line "Glam Pod Drawing Winners" within 30 days after the drawing.
